I have three options to propose. Either: 1) on PNob’s own site or 2) by someone who works with PNob or 3) someone who wants to work for/with him. If it’s option 1, he should be embarrassed. If it’s 2 or 3 it’s probably a good play. Job security or an interview should be forthcoming.
Of course the very fact that option 1 is plausible should say something about PNob…. don’t ya think?
This begs the question: if he’s the ace, who’s the king?
Pajama Pages readers: I have a suggestion. Since NS is obviously into altering/editing/changing terms, I think they will appreciate the proposal. From now on, I’ll be calling Perry Noble something different. Perry sounds so … yesterday. But, Ace Noble – now there’s a good strong 21st name. Ace is future looking, new, exciting, attention-getting.

Seeing the Ace in isloation may lead to the suggestion that NS is ‘not the full deck”? Who’s the Joker?
The only thing better would be if it were the Ace of Diamonds. Then, I would’ve been tempted to call him Diamond Noble. But, as it stands Ace will have to suffice.
Clarification: the reason I wish it had been an Ace of Diamonds is traced back to the JDuncan comment: “Noble is paid so much by his church that they worry about an IRS audit for excessive payment to the CEO of a non-profit….” (See the 4/16 “inside-out, upside-down language” post).
It would have been especially sweet to call him Diamond, which could have been an allusion to both the photo & his paycheck.
Seriously, look at those jeans. Not very humble to wear designer holy jeans.
P.S. I don’t think those were made by Newspring. BigStuf is a ministry of a pastor at North Point Church in Atlanta I believe. So, Perry and NS wouldn’t have anything to do with the particular card Perry is on fyi.
B. Rink, maybe NS or Perry didn’t make the card, but the pic did come from BCoop’s twitter account. He is a pastor at NS. Even if they didn’t make the card, they or at least BCoop is promoting it.
And the harm is? It’s funny to me. There’s one thing to be certain of at NS–Perry is not exalted over Jesus. And how that correlation can be made by a pic on a TwitPic account that just describes what is going on with an exclamation mark–is beyond me.

@BRink: I think you’re being a little unfair and overly harsh in your judging of the dude – at least I’m hoping it’s a dude given the amount of leg hair. Surely its very humbling to have to wear jeans that have big holes in them – especially if those holes have come about because of the time spent on one’s knees in prayer.
BTW, shouldn’t someone warn Ace that his door is about to be kicked in by some Marines!

You know, I think BigStuf (his handle sounds alot like Ron Burgundy: “I don’t know how to put this but I’m kind of a big deal”) may have stumbled on a novel way of creating ministry vacancies. We’re sure BigStuf’s motives are pure right?

Maybe it’s just me, but the term “fan” on facebook, when referring to a pastor just rubs me the wrong way. Friends is one thing, but fans? What do ya’ll think?
Just for anyone that is not on twitter. That was given to Perry at a public speaking event. It was not even on his twitter. So to say he is not humble just by this picture is completely turning the tables. He never asked for the Ace or knew it would be made.
And James Duncan. Do you have a twitter account just so you can find ammo on a NewSpring Staffer and in return blog about it? I know you feel that you are doing what is right but you are heavily gossiping about brothers in Christ. If you have problems with them you should go about it the biblical way and not blog about everything thing that bothers you. You are falsely leading others to believe untrue things. Not to mention we are to love our enemies and talk down about no one especially on such a public domain. Please remember all of our sins are judged in full weight.
Just for anyone who’s not not on Twitter, Twitter is available for viewing for anyone, even without having to have a Twitter account. All your Twitful Tweets are public and permanent. Some people even put their Tweets on their blogs!
I know there might be different definitions of gossiping, but commenting on something that’s being done publicly (and linking to the things you are commenting on) probably isn’t one of them.
